Hi there! My name is Stephanie and I'm glad you're here!
As someone with unusually big emotions, I found yoga after a few bumps in the road causing me to feel like I was hitting rock bottom. They say, "The crack is where the light enters..." I am finally ready and so excited to share my light with all of you the only way I know how; through the union of breath and movement.
I've been practicing yoga consistently for almost five years. After lots of research and careful contemplation, I completed a 200hr Yoga Teacher Training program through LifeTime Fitness.
The benefits of mind-body awareness are countless. This practice has helped me manifest the tools and skills needed to calmly and compassionately navigate my way through any situation life presents me with.
I am mostly passionate about exercising the breath and feeling on a deeper level. I've found meditation to be extremely helpful for decreasing anxiety, improving sleep, lowering stress levels and encouraging me to be less reactive in any situation. It is with consistent practice and positive action that we can transform the person we are into the person we are truly meant to be.
I will be offering 2 different styles of yoga, plus a weekly 30 minute guided meditation.
Vinyasa Flow; a fast paced, heat building, strengthening and detoxifying hour of movement. Beginning with Sun Salutations, continuing through standing postures, a quick burn out and a well deserved cool down with a few restorative postures.
Yin/ Deep Stretch; This practice works on the connective tissues that act as cushioning between our muscles and joints. Over time, these tissues shrivel and become harder and more solid. By holding deep stretches for an extended period of time, this practice helps soften and almost liquefy the tissues; making us a little lighter, and more importantly a little less reactive with every breath.
